Since opening the doors of Delightful Dogs in 1999, our 'teach instead of punish' approach to dog training has earned the admiration of dog owners and trainers alike. Our concepts are based on teaching the owners to understand, motivate and train their dogs in order to create the loving companions they so desire.

All classes are taught by Sylvia Gottschalk, CTB.cc, a qualified award winning, certified dog trainer/behaviour therapist, who has worked with dogs for over 15 years, and has taught over 200 classes, 1500 dogs, and 4500 owners since opening Delightful Dogs in 1999. With many years of professional education and experience, Sylvia continues to up-grade her skills on a regular basis, to bring you the most proven and up-to-date techniques.

Our goal is not only to teach you and your dog valuable training techniques, but more importantly, to prevent problems, create good manners, and help you resolve any behaviour challenges you may be experiencing.

We have also further expanded our business to provide the additional services of grooming and retail. No more running all over town to find all the products and services you need!

Grooming Services are designed to meet your needs for a quality groom while ensuring a pleasant experience for your dog in our safe, clean and disinfected environment. All grooming services require you to call for a quote so that your dog's individual needs are fully met. Appointments must be booked in advance and no drop-ins are accepted. Each dog receives one-on-one personal attention so that their experience is enjoyable and stress free.

Our Retail Store offers a variety of items all geared toward your loving canine, to help you throughout your classes and your daily adventures. We carry only top of the line items that are strong, sturdy and durable, and edibles containing only the highest quality of natural ingredients. From leashes, collars, food, treats, training aides and more, all our products have two key components in mind; Safety and Quality!
